About 80% of drug testing performed in the united States is lab-based. Also known as urinalysis, the process begins when a donor gives a urine sample at a collection site. The collector sends the sample overnight to a laboratory to undergo an emit screen (immunoassay analysis) or enzyme immunoassay (EIA). If the initial test is non-negative, the samples goes for further testing by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) to confirm the result.
Once the result is determined by the lab, it is sent electronically to Florida Drug Screening where it is reviewed by one of our Medical Review Officers (MROs). Our Medical Review Officers are licensed physicians who have knowledge of substance abuse and are certified by the American Association of Medical Review Officers (AAMRO).
Florida Drug Screening provides all types of lab-based drug testing for the workplace, school, court ordered, or for personal use.

5 panel test: Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, PCP and Amphetamines |
| • |
10 panel test: includes 5 panel and adds Methaqualone, Propoxyphene, Methadone, Benzodiazepines and Barbiturates |
| • |
Steroid Panel: tests for 17 substances including Testosterone, Tetrahydrogestrinone (THG), Oxandrolone (Anavar), Norandrosterone and other commonly used anabolic steroids. |
| • |
ETG (alcohol): great for zero tolerance programs, tests for long-term detection of alcohol. Ethyl glucuronide (EtG) is a minor metabolite of alcohol ingestion and has the benefit of a longer detection period |
| • |
Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT): Breath analytical instruments have evolved into low cost, highly accurate, rapid analytical systems that simply and painlessly collect a breath sample and calculate a result. |
Additional drug panels are available upon request including Expanded Opiates, Ecstasy, Oxycotin, Alcohol or Adulterant check. Lab-based testing is with urine or with hair.
